London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA)
England, UK
BA (Hons) Professional Acting
Music & Performing Arts
No direct requirement published
LAMDA's own international-applicants page states no GPA, SAT, ACT, or AP figure anywhere -- admission runs entirely on a mandatory audition (two monologues from different plays, one from an Elizabethan or Jacobean text, one from LAMDA's own Classical Monologue List, each under three minutes) plus an English-language requirement of approximately IELTS 7.0 (IELTS for UKVI required for a Student visa). From January 2027, LAMDA runs auditions directly in North America for this course rather than requiring UK travel. A genuine honest gap, and a genuinely distinct conservatoire type from the existing acting (Rose Bruford) and music-focused (Trinity Laban, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music & Drama) precedents -- LAMDA is one of the UK's oldest and most prestigious acting-only drama schools.
