World ranking (2026)QS #410 · THE #301-350
Int'l tuition€15,900/yr
Acceptance rateNot reported

Ireland admits via the CAO points system, not a US-style acceptance rate. For 2026 entry, DCU's own published cut-offs range from roughly the high 300s (e.g. Arts Joint Honours ~390) up to 500+ for competitive programmes (e.g. Global Business 435-500, Business Studies 497) -- CAO points, not an acceptance rate, and not directly comparable to one.

Student size (19,507 = 15,065 undergraduate + 3,567 postgraduate-taught + 875 postgraduate-research) is from DCU's official 'DCU in Numbers' page, labeled 25/26. Tuition is banded by faculty/course (from dcu.ie's 2026-2027 fee page): Faculty of Science & Health EUR15,900 (Environmental Science & Technology, Financial Mathematics, used as the low end) up to EUR23,000 (Nursing specialties); Institute of Education EUR16,900; Business School EUR17,000; Humanities & Social Sciences EUR17,300; Engineering & Computing EUR16,400-EUR17,900 rising in an integrated Masters year. The Study Abroad Programme rate was excluded as non-representative (not a standard direct-entry degree fee). QS rank 410 is from DCU's own press release (dated 19 June 2025, 'QS World University Rankings 2026', up from 421st in 2025). THE rank '301-350' (banded) is confirmed from timeshighereducation.com, labeled 2026. Guardian rank not applicable: the Guardian University Guide doesn't cover Irish universities. Not Russell Group -- that membership is UK-only.

SAT 1200+

€17,900/yr (international)current (page last updated Jul 2026, no cycle year stated)Direct Entry · Apply by Jul 1

DCU applies one flat GPA+SAT/ACT minimum uniformly across programmes (course differentiation happens via required subject grades, not a per-course score threshold, unlike UCC/UCD/Galway's banded systems): GPA 3.0/4.0 + SAT 1200 (min 600 Math, 600 EBRW) or ACT 24, plus 2 honours or AP subjects at grade 4+. Registry page last modified 16 July 2026, no separate cycle-year label -- treated as the current standing requirement. An older, stale DCU PDF with looser numbers (SAT 1725 old-scale, ACT 24-26 'desirable range') was found and deliberately not used.
